A modern-day tale of fortune-telling in the world of West Texas oil rigs
Watch writer/director Taylor Sheridan’s most popular movies and TV shows on IMDb, ranked by user ratings. A Landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a middleman between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a Landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Essentially, they manage the land and secure leases so they can drill for oil and gas.
They are well-written and entertaining
Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, shelter workers (man-camp), set up the excavation machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations. They are also, in part, Fixers, Troubleshooters, and Facilitators. Featured in CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). Apparently I love Taylor Sheridan shows.
It’s completely gratuitous
I would happily watch anything with makeup at this point. But what’s with the girl in the underwear and her disturbing sexualization? It’s extremely weird how unlikable she is with it. It’s almost so much that you don’t want to watch it.
The ex-wife is just awful
I’m invested in the story so far. I also don’t understand why the women are so unlikable. She’s a real pain in the ass. Is the show just geared toward attracting men?
He’s always positive
I love Billy Bob, though.
