Loosely based on the theft of $18 million in maple syrup from a Quebec warehouse in 2011-2012; five people were sentenced to prison
Synopsis
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry.
I never expected it to be this good!
There is drama, tension, suspense and the dialogue is genuinely hilarious!
Each character is thoroughly developed, even if they only appear for a couple of minutes
However, as the plot progresses, it seems that despite the complex and personal problems experienced by each of the three main characters, the show is mostly comical and the proof of this is that the director has perfectly nailed what makes a great comedy: MOVEMENT.
Hands down for the direction
In fact, most of the “funny movies or series” being released these days lack that essential substance, namely actors who know how to use MOVEMENT for comic effect.
